Kalaburagi MP Dr Umesh Jadhav, who will be seeking re-election this time, said the PM will also lay the foundation stone for several development projects. “Over two lakh people from Kalaburagi and Bidar parliamentary constituencies will participate in the rally”, he said. “We had already started the campaign and we will go ahead even more aggressively”, he added.

In the previous election, Kharge had lost from his home constituency and the BJP will be looking to repeat its performance.

“…Kalaburagi has become a centre for PM Modi. When I met his recently in the Rajya Sabha Chairman’s chamber, I asked him why he is repeatedly coming to Kalaburagi, it’s very hot there and there is water shortage. He replied saying that there is a huge airstrip which can accommodate large aircraft. That’s why he chooses to come to Kalaburagi when he is going to Latur, Solapur or towards Hyderabad”, Kharge said in speech in Kalaburagi on Wednesday.
