TUMAKURU: An autorickshaw driver who was injured in an accident involving the car belonging to Bigg Boss contestant Tukali Santosh, died without responding to treatment.
On Wednesday evening, Santosh’s car was involved in an head-on collision with an autorickshaw near Kurudihalli in Kunigal while he was returning to Holenarsipur after completing a shoot in Tumakuru. The autorickshaw was badly damaged in the accident and the driver Jagadish (44) sustained serious injuries. He was shifted in an ambulance to the Kunigal government hospital.
A witness, Venkatesh, said Tukali Santosh and his wife helped shift the injured autorickshaw driver, a resident of Kodihallipalya, to hospital. But he died without responding to treatment on Thursday. It is said that the auto driver was drunk at the time of the accident.
The Kunigal police have registered complaints from both sides and taken up further investigation.
