BENGALURU: One person died after a major fire broke out at a scrap godown near Dasanapura-Ballur Gate in Anekal taluk on the outskirts of Bengaluru early on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Manikanta.
The fire suddenly broke out and spread throughout godown in minutes. As the fire was intense, a car parked in front of the scrap godown was completely burnt to ashes. Manikanta, who was sleeping inside godown, could not come out and lost his life on the spot as he was trapped in the flames.
On receiving information, the fire brigade staff rushed to spot and extinguished the fire after much effort. A case has been registered at the Attibele police station limits regarding this, and police have taken up further investigation.
