YADGIR: A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) from Jharkhand on Thursday quizzed a youth at Shahpur in Yadgir district for hours over his alleged links with another man arrested with suspected links with the ISIS.
The team, led by inspector Sachidananda Sharma, arrived early in the morning in a Telangana registered vehicle and quizzed Khalid Ahmed (22) for about four hours. They also directed him to present himself for inquiry on September 20 at Ranchi.
The NIA had earlier arrested Fayaz in Ranchi for alleged links with ISIS operatives. Khalid Ahmed was reportedly in touch with Fayaz through Instagram. The NIA team had seized his two phones and taken copies of his Aadhaar, PAN and ration cards and served him a notice to present himself for inquiry on September 20 in Ranchi.
The team later in the afternoon visited the Shahpur police station and headed back.
