BIDAR: A 16-wheeler truck overturned on the road near Santhpur in Aurad taluk after one of its front tyres burst, on Tuesday. The driver and his assistant serious injuries in the incident and were hospitalised.
The truck was carrying a consignment of vitrified tiles from Gujarat to Hyderabad when the incident occurred. Traffic on the national highway was affected for some time.
The Santhpur rushed to the spot and cleared the tiles that lay scattered on the road to allow for traffic. Later, a crane was brought in to remove the truck from the road.
