KOLAR: Four people of one family died on the spot and four others were injured after the Toyota Rumion MUV in which they were travelling crashed into the road culvert after the driver lost control, on the Bengaluru-Chennai Express Highway on Monday morning.
The family, residents of Vidyaranyapura, was returning to Bengaluru after having darshan at Tirupati at 3 am on Monday and the accident occurred around 7 am near Dodda Keri village in KGF taluk. The deceased include Sharadabai (70), granddaughter Deekshith (20), Devendra Kumar (44), grandson Jishnu Sai (17).
The injured Vikas, Neetu, Advika, Kavita are admitted to Bangarpet Kolar district hospital. Vikas, who was driving car, says he pulled the car to the side as a dog came across, and so it collided with culvert. The Bethamangala police visited spot and have registered case and taken up further investigation.
