BAGALKOT: The body of a physiotherapy student, who had gone missing from a hostel, was found under suspicious circumstances in a bush near the bridge at Shigikeri Cross in the district. The unnatural death has led to suspicion on whether the woman was murdered or committed suicide.
The deceased woman has been identified as Suman Manohar Pattara (22) from Ilkal. She was studying third-year physiotherapy course and was staying in a hostel.
It is learnt that she had left the hostel two days ago and had not returned. Later, her parents filed a complaint at the Bagalkot women’s police station.
It is said that Suman would chat with her friend’s boyfriend. When her friend came to know about this, the two women had an argument.
A case has been registered in Bagalkot Rural police station in this regard. Superintendent of Police Amarnath Reddy said that an investigation will be conducted based on the complaint.
