The miscreants let out about 8,000 litres of petrol and 2,000 litres of diesel on to the road.

MANDYA: Unidentified miscreants targeted an IndianOil petrol bunk at Beby village in Pandavapura taluk on Monday night and let out about Rs 10 lakh worth of petrol and diesel from the pumps on to the road.

The miscreants targeted the petrol bunk when the staff had gone out for dinner. They switched on the generator, broke the display on the fuel pumps and turned on the nozzles and let out about 8,000 litres of petrol and 2,000 litres of diesel on to the road.

The petrol bunk belongs to one Bastirangappa and was opened only about two months ago. The Pandavapura police have registered a case and are investigating.
