BAGALKOT: The principal of the government degree college in Hunagund committed suicide by hanging from the grill on the college canteen staircase. His body was found by the college staff today morning.
The principal, Nagaraj Mudgal (57) was found hanging on the college premises early today morning. The Hunagund police, who visited the college, shifted the body for post mortem examination. The motive for the suicide is not yet known.
The college ws to host a folk festival today and Nagaraj Mudgal was distributing invitations to guests till Monday night. He went home in the morning, returned to the college and committed suicide.
