KALABURAGI: About 3-4 unidentified intruders broke open the doors of Central University of Karnataka hostel and entered the building at Kadaganchi village in Aland taluk around midnight on August 1.
Miscreants broke open the doors of three hostels of the university and entered. Wearing masks on their faces and holding knives in their hands, they were seen moving around inside the hostel. The movement of the intruders was captured on CCTV cameras.
The hostels are allotted to university professors Mahimaraj, Dr Sangamesh, and Dr M Shivamurthy. Since no one was in the hostel at that time, a major incident was averted. A case has been registered at Narona police station.
