BENGALURU: Medical Education, Skill Development and Livelihood Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil on Monday lashed out at BJP-JD(S) leaders over the alleged MUDA scam and criticized Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot for sending a show-cause notice to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He termed it an attempt to create an illusion that the state government was unstable.
The minister spoke to media on the sidelines of his inspection of Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College & Research Institute. Defending the Chief Minister, the minister accused BJP for the alleged scam.
“What happened in the MUDA and who were involved in the scam is clearly evident. This scam took place during the BJP regime and none is above the law of the land. The BJP has looted the state for four years and lost the trust of the people and its situation is like a fish without water”, Sharan Prakash Patil said.
Coming down heavily on the JD(S) Patil termed its alliance with the saffron party unethical and called the party’s stance shameless and without dignity. “The JD(S) has joined hands with those who have toppled the coalition government in the state. Despite getting 30-seats, Congress made Kumaraswamy chief minister in 2018. We had accommodated the JD(S) and they should have supported us. It’s shameful and undignified”, Patil stressed.
Shivajinagar MLA Rizwan Arshad and other local leaders were present.
