BELAGAVI: A man allegedly blackmailed his wife with videos of their private moments to force her to agree for a divorce and threatening to make their viral on social media.
Kiran Patil, a resident of the city, allegedly threatened his wife that he would leak the videos if she refused to agree to a divorce. When he did not budge despite several pleas, the wife lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police station.
When the police arrived to arrest him, Kiran threatened to commit suicide. The police then admitted him to a hospital for treatment later arrested him.
