KARWAR: Three masked men broke into an LPG distributor and made away with Rs 5 lakh in cash from the office. The incident occurred around 3.45 am on Wednesday and police are on the lookout for the culprits.
The theft occurred at Sri Mookambika Gas Agency near Mankuli Pushpanjali Cross on NH-66. The gas agency is run by one Dinakar Vittal Kini.
In CCTV footage that is available, two of the masked men are seen breaking into the office and one of them slipping in. Moments later, the duo walk out with a bag containing the cash.
The Bhatkal police visited the spot along with the dog squad and fingerprint experts. A case has been registered and a hunt has been launched for the culprits.
