YADGIR: A man who was being washed away in the Krishna river when he had gone to wash his feet was quickly rescued by boatmen, at Tinthani village in Surpur taluk.

Khasimsab, a resident of Tinthani village, had got into the water but slipped and was dragged away by the strong currents. He was struggling to stay afloat in the swirling waters.

The man was rescued and pulled into the coracle.

Noticing him being swept away, some boatmen immediately set out in a coracle and rescued Khasimsab. An undated video of the dramatic rescue is now doing the rounds on social media and the quick action of the boatmen has been widely appreciated. The incident occurred in Surpur police limits.
