I am not contesting against or in support of anyone, but as an independent. I have already collected the opinion of voters in all the eight assembly constituencies and I will file my nomination on April 12”, he said.

He said the math devotees are eager that he contest the polls. “They are happy that a Lingayat seer will contest the polls and extended support”, he said. However, pollsters feel that the seer may end up cutting into the votes of the two major political parties.
