MYSURU: Senior Rotarian H R Keshav on Saturday took charge as Mysuru District Governor of Rotary club. Outgoing Governor Prakash Karanth handed over charge. Senior Rotarian Guru were also present.
Public TV chief H R Ranganath graced on the occasion as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, H R Ranganath said social service is a huge penance. “Social service is not a bed of flowers, it is a bed of thorns and requires dedication. “Selflessly, participate in social service”, he said, while appreciating the work of Rotary organization.
“Don’t cheat on your service, as you chose this field voluntarily to serve society. It is not worthy to say I am a citizen of this country, but to have contributed to our nation”, he added.
“I wish, may your work and services go smoothly for the next one year. If the lives of four families are improved, there is meaning to service. I am helping some needy people through a special programme titled ‘Belaku’. God has given me that People’s trust. Likewise, let Rotarians help needy people as much as possible, but do not cheat people trust”, the Public TV chief said.
