CHAMARAJANAGAR: The district and sessions court here has sentenced a man to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 2.10 lakh for killing his pregnant wife.
In 2013, Muthuraj, a resident of Rachappaji Nagar in Kollegal, had spiked juice with alcohol and gave it to his wife Jyothi. He then strangulated her to death.
The court has now convicted him to life imprisonment for killing his wife who was pregnant at that time. Public Prosecutor T H Lolakshi argued the case on behalf of the state.
