UDUPI: ‘Kantara’ fame actor Rishab Shetty said he wishes to be born in the Panara community to serve the daivas if he has a next life.
Addressing the ‘Panara Nalike community’ convention, held for the first time in the Rajangana of Srikrishna Mutt, Udupi on Sunday, Rishab Shetty said, “I have seen Panjurli’s beautiful face mask kept in an American museum. This is the power of God, daivas (spiritual power), our land of undivided Dakshina Kannada. I have a desire to take birth in the Panara community to serve daivas if I have the opportunity in my next life and to serve Panjurli, Guliga and Annappaswamy. I am the best example of how Daiva will not leave us if we truly believe them”.
Rishab Shetty said, “We are setting up a trust to help students of the Nalike community who are studying. The children of the Panara community should get access to education and culture. I will convince the government to set up a community hall”.
“The services of panara community people is incredible and I will insist strongly with the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Ministers for setting up a community hall. I would like to spread the services of daiva nartakas worldwide. I dedicated the ‘Kantara’ movie to daivas and there is no other intention behind it”, the actor said.
