HUBBALLI: A corporator of the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation has lodged a complaint against her husband alleging harassment and sought protection.
Shruti Chalwadi, the corporator representing Ward 58, in her complaint to the Keshwapur police, has charged that she was assaulted and harassed and that her husband Santosh even tried to kill her by strangulating her.
The couple have had arguments over Santosh speaking to another woman on the phone and texting her.
Shruti said in her complaint that her husband had assaulted her though she was pregnant. Santosh has threatened divorce as he wants to marry another woman. “He even threatened to get me and my brother killed”, she said in the complaint.
