Hindu activists argue with Christian missionaries at Mallenu village in Hiriyur taluk on Tuesday night.

CHITRADURGA: Amidst allegations of widespread conversions in Hiriyur taluk, Hindu activists got into an argument with some Christian women at Mallenu village on Tuesday night over alleged conversion attempts.

Hindu activists warn a Christian woman in the village not to lure others into conversion.

The activists descended on the village when the Christian women were conducting a prayer meeting at night and burnt copies of the Bible. They also warned the villagers not to allow any missionaries into the village and to inform them of any such activity.

It is alleged that Christian missionaries are targeting women from poor families and luring them into the religion.
