Himachal Chief Minister Sukhu hospitalised for stomach infection in Shimla

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was hospitalised in Shimla after he complained of abdominal pain, an official said on Thursday.

The Chief Minister was admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital (IGMC) late on Wednesday night.

Speaking to ANI, the Principal media advisor to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Naresh Chauhan said, “Chief Minister Sukhu was brought to the IGMC after he had complaints of stomach ache. Medical examinations revealed that a stomach infection caused the pain.”

“The doctors have advised him to rest and have kept him under observation in the hospital. There is nothing critical, he is fine and stable,” he said.

Doctors examined the Chief Minister’s health and all reports have been found normal. He has been kept under observation. Many other tests will also be conducted during observation.

“There is no need to panic. The Chief Minister’s health is improving, he made frequent visits to different parts of the state and it got hectic for him. After this, his health deteriorated and he had to be admitted,” said the official. (ANI)
