Dinesh Gundu Rao explained to Mansukh Mandaviyaa that there is not enough financial support from the Centre. At present, the state government is providing 64 per cent financial assistance, while the central government is providing only 36 per cent, he pointed out.

If the Centre provides 60 per cent financial assistance to the Ayushman Bharat-Arogya Karnataka scheme, the scheme can be effectively delivered to more people, Dinesh Gundu Rao pointed out and submitted a request to the Union Health Minister that the central government bear 60 per cent of the cost of the insurance scheme.

The state minister appealed to take an early decision in this regard as the Ayushman Bharat scheme has been started from the perspective of public health security. He also participated as co-chairman in the Ayushman Bhava Symposium on the second day of the Health Thinking Camp.
