The Government Law College in Hassan allegedly admitted excess students.

HASSAN: The future of 40 students of the Government Law College here hangs in balance with the Bar Council of India refusing to recognise their admission, as it exceeded the approved number of seats.

The students, who enrolled in 2021-22, have appeard for the exams and even got their marks sheets, but they will not be allowed to practice law as their admissions itself have been questioned.

The law college has approval to admit 60 students per year, but had admitted 40 more students in that year. It is being said that pressure was brought upon the college management to admit the students, who have now been left in dire straits.
