Doctor saves life of unconscious motorcycle rider by administering CPR

The doctor, along with others, moved the man out of the ditch and pumped his chest to revive breathing.

DAVANAGERE: A doctor from Davanagere, who was travelling, saved the life of a motorcycle rider who had fallen into a ditch by the roadside and lost consciousness by administering him cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Dr Ravikumar was driving along when he noticed a motorcycle rider fallen unconscious by the roadside. Acting quickly, the doctor moved the motorcycle rider to the road shoulder with the help of the police and some locals.

The doctor explained that the man’s breathing had been choked.

The doctor then pumped the chest of the unconscious man and tilted his neck so that he could resume breathing. After the motorcycle rider was administered first aid, locals shifted him to a hospital in another vehicle.

The doctor’s quick action in saving the life of the man received much appreciation from locals.
