BENGALURU: A trial court on Thursday extended the police custody of six accused, including actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, in the Renukaswamy murder case, for the third time, while prime accused Pavitra Gowda and other accused were sent to judicial custody.

The police produced Darshan and the other accused before a ACMM court after police custody ended today. As part of the investigation, the police collected evidence from the scenes of crime over the last week and this week.

The special public prosecutor (SPP) argued that Darshan, Vinay, Pradush, Nagaraj, Lakshman and Dhanraj should be subjected to further investigation, although most of the investigation has been concluded. The court again handed over Darshan and the other accused to police custody after accepting the argument.

Pavithra Gowda and eight other accused will be sent to Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru today.
