BENGALURU: A contestant of the Kannada reality show ‘Bigg Boss Season-10’, Varthur Santosh, was arrested from the Bigg Boss house on Sunday night for wearing a tiger claw pendant. This is the first time in the history of the Bigg Boss show that a contestant has been arrested.

Santosh was arrested by the Ramohalli range forest officers on a complaint filed by Sharat under the Wildlife Protection Act. An FIR was registered against Santosh later on. He is currently being interrogated by the forest officials and will be produced before a court today.

The complainant Sharat, in an audio byte that is available with Public TV, said that he had lodged the complaint two days ago with the forest department. “Varthur Santosh wore a tiger claw pendant, which is against the Wildlife Protection Act. Celebrities have to follow the rules”, he said. But, whether the tiger claw is original or fake has to be decided by forensics test.
