HAVERI: The Rattihalli police have arrested five people who attempted to kidnap a jeweller. A car and a mobile phone used for the act were also seized.
Five men had attempted to kidnap Garvith Rajpurohit (21) from Taralabalu Nagar in Rattihalli, but were intercepted by police inspector Jagadish and team who were on patrol. The arrested are Raju Pawar, Shobith Pundalikrao, Manjunath and James Daniel of Bengaluru and Prasanna of K R Pura.
A case has been registered at the Rattihalli police station.
