Residents of the locality then informed the tahlisdar and the Jewargi police who questioned the family members of the voyuer. The police then got the family members to call Salim home and arrested him. A case has been registered at the Jewargi police station.

Salim had purchased a wifi magnetic camera online and had used a pipe to fix it at the bathroom window. He had linked the wifi camera to his phone.

Minorities welfare taluk officer Hulikuntaraya said the girl students noticed the camera around 6.30 am and caught hold of Salim, who resides close by. The police later arrested him. “There are over 50 inmates in the hostel and no such incident had been reported earlier”, he said.
