BENGALURU: Five people, who were travelling in a tractor, died on the spot after it crashed into a private bus near Kaveripattinam in Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
The tractor was carrying 11 people to a function when the driver suddenly turned on to the main road from a side road, and hit the bus belonging to SRS Travels which was heading to Bengaluru from Tamil Nadu. All the 11 people travelling in the tractor trailer were flug due to the impact and five of them died on the spot.
Ten seriously injured people, including the bus passengers, were shifted to a hospital in Krishnagiri. The Kaveripattinam police cleared the cleared the road for traffic and have registered a case.
