BENGALURU: A massive fire broke out at a plastic factory at Nayandanahalli in the city in the wee hours on Wednesday. Five fire brigades rushed to the spot to control the blaze. The fire is suspected to have broken out around 1 am due to a short circuit.
The fire initially broke out in one section of the factory and quickly spread to adjacent plastic godowns. Two godowns were completely gutted.
Plastic and gunny bags stored in the godowns made it challenging for firefighters to control the blaze. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
A worker noticed the fire and alerted others in the factory, ensuring everyone came out safely.
