BENGALURU: A divorced woman stabbed her boyfriend with a knife over his love affair with another woman. The incident occurred at Ejipura in the city.
The accused has been identified as Juntidas (25) and the victim Jogesh Pegu (32) is battling for life at a private hospital as his intestine got damaged in the incident. Both are natives of Assam.
The accused Juntidas, a divorcee, came to Bengaluru and was working in a daycare facility. Meanwhile, Jogesh Pegu worked as a security guard in an apartment in Ejipura. They got to know each other as they were both natives of the same state. Later, they fell in love, and had been together for two years.
Meanwhile, Jogesh got into a relationship with another woman and started maintaining distance from Juntidas. Angered by Jogesh’s other affair, Juntidas stabbed him as he had been with her for a long time and spent her money.
A case under Section 307 of IPC has been registered against the woman at the Vivek Nagar police station. She has been arrested and further investigation is on.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (central) Srinivas Gowda R said, “The accused killed her boyfriend because he cheated on her in terms of money and hurt her feeling as he had a love affair with another woman. Both got into a tussle and she stabbed him with a knife. Police arrested the accused and the injured is undergoing treatment at a hospital. A case has been registered for attempt to murder”.
