BENGALURU: More than one-and-half months after Sandalwood actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was remanded in judicial custody in the Renukaswamy murder case, the police are preparing to submit the chargesheet before court later this month.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda himself supervised the questioning at the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station when Darshan was in police custody. The police visited the police station every day during that period.

Meanwhile, the police have collected tons of evidence in the case including SIM cards, phones, internet connections, CCTV footage from the shed where Renukaswamy was beaten to death, among others.

The police commissioner was also scheduled to hold a meeting with the DCP (West), Vijayanagar ACP and Kamakshipalya police inspector to discuss the chargesheet before it is submitted in court.
