BENGALURU: Caretaker Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said the BJP will assess what went wrong and what corrective steps need to be taken at a meeting soon.

The caretaker CM, who received several BJP leaders at the residence in RT Nagar, said those who had won and the others who had lost, had shared their experiences and added that they will soon reenergise the party and take up people’s cause.

Referring to the Congress guarantees, he recalled his earlier statement and said that the state will face financial troubles. “Let them first form the government. The people have voted for the Congress based on their guarantees. It is up to the Congress to live up to the voters’ trust. Let the people decide”, he said.

Bommai also visited Keshava Krupa, the RSS headquarters in Chamarajpet, and held discussions. Emerging from the meeting, he said they discussed about the electoral outcome and ways to strengthen the party.
