The exit has been closed to prevent motorists from not paying the toll.

RAMANAGARA: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has blocked the exit on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway at Bidadi to stop motorists from getting off the highway and not paying the toll at the Sheshagirihalli toll plaza. While the exit to the service road has been blocked, entry to the highway is open.

Motorists coming from Mysuru side would get off the highway near Bidadi and reach Bengaluru through the service road, thereby avoiding paying a second toll. The NHAI move to block the exit is to prevent motorists from escaping the toll.

However, motorists have opposed the move, claiming that the closure of the exit was without prior notice and that there are no signages installed. They have also questioned why motorists travelling between Ramanagara and Bengaluru have to pay such a heavy toll of Rs 220 for single entry.
