Actor Aindrita Ray complains about suspected cow meat waste in truck, police says it was certified animal waste

BENGALURU: Sandalwood actor Aindrita Ray recently posted a video on her official ‘X’ handle alleging that a truck was transporting suspected cow waste (bone, horns, legs) near Bommanahalli on Wednesday night. She also mentioned that the truck was at the Bommanahalli police station, but the police had refused to register a FIR while mentioning that cow slaughter is illegal.

Aindrita Ray tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda, the Bengaluru City Police and Deputy Commissioner of Police, South-East division seeking them to take action.

The actor taking her ‘X’ stated that ” A truck was transporting a load of suspected cow waste (bones, horns, legs) last night. Now the vehicle is in @bomanahalli_ps Police are refusing to investigate by lodging an FIR. @CPBlr @BlrCityPolice @DCPSEBCP register FIR and investigate. Cow slaughter is illegal”.

After Aindrita Ray’s complaint, DCP C K Baba responded to her and clarified that the meat waste in the truck has been verified. “Enquiry into the incident @bommanahalli PS it’s been confirmed that the commodities found in the vehicle included bones,horns &animal byproducts were not from the cows& it was certified by BBMP animal husbandry East slaughter house to the authorised trader”, he posted.
