BENAGLURU: Renowned Sandalwood actor Shivarajkumar is recovering from cancer surgery and is now enjoying quality time while vacationing in the US. He spent time at the beach and is expected to return to Bengaluru on January 26.
Shivanna, as he is popularly known, is healing from the surgery. During his free time, he is visiting beautiful places in America. He spent time in America watching the sea with his wife Geeta. Just the other day, Shivanna shared a lovely post with his fans saying, “You are my sea”. He will return to Bengaluru on January 26 and get involved in movies again.
According to minister and brother-in-law Madhu Bangarappa, the actor had six surgeries and 190 stitches. He has a stent in his head and heart and is expected to return to Bengaluru on January 25. “Shivarajkumar’s health is fine, and the doctors treated him like family. The actor is 63 years old, but will look 36 after his recovery”, he said.
The doctors performed a manual surgery, which was initially planned to take five-and-half hours, but it was completed in four-and-half hours. Shivarajkumar is cancer-free, according to the doctors. The actor has been advised to walk 4-5 km daily.
The surgery was performed by Dr Murugesha Manohara, who is originally from Belur in Hassan district, but was born and raised in then Madras.
