BENGALURU: The investigation against the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case is almost over, as per Lokayukta sources.

The Lokayukta officials have already begun questioning the accused. Former MUDA commissioner Natesh has recorded his statement regarding the site allocation. The ongoing investigation has raised suspicions about the role of officials in the case, pointing to potential misuse of power.

Lokayukta officials suspect that officials themselves may be the masterminds behind the entire scandal. The officials in MUDA have been involved in a major part in the scam.

Several people were given more than 20 sites as compensation under the 50:50 ratio scheme by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). It has now been revealed that 125 people were allotted 928 sites by the civic body.

The 50:50 ratio scheme has come under the scanner after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, B M Parvati was allotted 14 sites in prime locations in lieu of 3.16 acres of land, which was reportedly acquired in Kesare.

Apart from Siddaramaiah’s wife, several of his close associates, including Hinkal Rakesh Papanna, Abdul Wahid, Abdul Wajid, and the Cathedral Parish Society, were allotted more than 30 sites each under the 50:50 ratio scheme, and there are many others name included in the list.
