CHANNAPATNA: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, at an election campaign in Singarajipura on Friday, urged voters to support NDA candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy in the upcoming byelection, emphasizing that this election is for a “good cause” and is focused on positive change and development.

“In the past, elections here have been held amidst sorrow and losses due to members leaving the party”, Karandlaje remarked. “This time, however, it’s different; it’s a positive election”. Karandlaje highlighted the importance of strong representation from Karnataka in the Union Cabinet, noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally inducted HD Kumaraswamy in his cabinet to serve in his ministry.

“Modi ji wanted Karnataka’s leader in his cabinet, recognizing Kumaranna’s capabilities, he called him to the Centre”, she said. “He ranks among the top in the cabinet, showing his influence and commitment”. Encouraging voters to elect Nikhil Kumaraswamy, she added, “To support Kumaranna, Nikhil must win. He’s not new to this field. Nikhil is a bright young leader with experience in public service. His victory is essential to further Modi and Nikhil’s vision for this region and to inspire youth into politics to shape India’s future”.

Karandlaje also criticized Congress, accusing the party of rampant corruption. “Despite having 136 seats, Congress is embroiled in corruption in every department. They make hollow promises and fail to deliver any grants,” she alleged.”The Congress simply puts its sticker on the rice provided by Modi for the 80 crore people across the country. The rice reaching your homes is provided by Modi’s government, not Congress”, she added.

Karandlaje pointed out that even Congress leadership has doubts about fulfilling their “guarantees.””They had once promised to fund everything, and now they admit they can’t fulfill their own guarantees,” she said, emphasizing that such promises are a disservice to the people.

Karandlaje called on the people of Channapatna to vote for NDA’s Nikhil Kumaraswamy to strengthen Modi’s vision for India and to deliver a warning message to what she described as “a corrupt, anti-Hindu, anti-farmer Congress government”. “This constituency and the future of JD(S) depend on Nikhil’s victory. Give him a larger win than Kumaraswamy himself had. Let’s counter Siddaramaiah’s caste and religion-based politics, which undermines our dignity. Corruption has stunted development, but with Modi and Kumaranna’s partnership, Karnataka can have a solid foundation for progress”, she emphasized.

Addressing BJP leader Yogeshwar’s defection to Congress, Karandlaje explained that the BJP had treated him fairly, even appointing him as an MLC and minister despite his previous electoral loss. “Even though he lost, we made him an MLC and minister. He came to us empty-handed, and we supported him fully. Now he’s left for Congress. The Congress was floundering, and now he has joined them. That’s why it’s crucial to support Nikhil”.

The rally in Singarajipura village showcased Shobha Karandlaje’s unwavering support for Nikhil Kumaraswamy as she concluded her speech with a call to voters to secure his victory in Channapatna and ensure Karnataka’s prosperity under NDA leadership. This development comes ahead of the upcoming by polls in Channapatna, scheduled for November 13, where NDA candidate, Nikhil Kumaraswamy is in the electoral fray against Congress candidate CP Yogeshwar, who had recently jumped ship to the Congress from BJP.

The by polls on 48 constituencies are spread over 15 states — Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. (ANI)
