BAGALKOT: Former minister and BJP leader K S Eshwarappa has warned of a ‘bloody revolution’ over encroachment of the motherland by the Waqf Board and called for an end to the assault on Hinduism.

Speaking to media persons here, he said the Hindu community will not tolerate encroachment of farmers’ lands, temples and maths and properties linked to saints. “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has begun to believe in God only now, but it should not become a drama. If he is to be blessed by all gods, he should work sincerely to stop the attacks on Hindus. Or else, he will lose his position and go to jail”, Eshwarappa said.

Further, he said Siddaramaiah was doing injustice to the Hindu community for the sake of Muslim votes. “Zameer Ahmed is getting Siddaramaiah to act like his puppet. Before a bloody revolution occurs, the government should wake up and remove the name of the waqf board in revenue documents”, he noted.

Eshwarappa also said that it was not right on the part of the opposition to boycott the proceedings of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Waqf Amendment Bill. “Let them put forth their arguments and bring out the truth before the people. This is betrayal of the Hindu community. Prime Minister Narendra Modi should bring a law to abolish the Waqf Board”, he said.
