RAICHUR: The BJP, which was eyeing at least 25,000 Telugu-speaking voters in the region has been left disappointed after Telugu Power Star Pawan Kalyan, also founder of the Jana Sena party, cancelled his visit due to unavailability of dates.
With an eye on the Telugu-speaking voters, a 5-km roadshow by Pawan Kalyan had been planned by BJP leaders on April 18. However, due to a clash of dates, Pawan Kalyan’s visit has been cancelled.
The BJP has fielded incumbent MP Raja Amareshwara Nayak from the Raichur Lok Sabha seat. The ruling Congress in the state has fielded G Kumar Naik as its candidate.
