BELAGAVI: Former BJP MLA Sanjay Patil has lodged a complaint with the Shahpur police alleging that Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar had incited goondas to take his life.
In his complaint, the BJP leader said the minister had misused her position to get him eliminated by rowdy elements who had issued life threats and used abusive language. He also alleged that the rowdies, holding glass bottles, had barged into his house and destroyed valuable articles.
Directly blaming minister Laxmi Hebbalkar for the attack, he said his staff too were attacked. He has sought action against the minister for inciting the rowdies and also against the rowdies for attempting to kill him.
Sanjay Patil has mentioned the names of Laxmi Hebbalkar, Ayeesha Sanadi, Sujay Jadhav, Jayashri Suryavamshi, Prabhavathi Mastamaradi, Rohini Bapashet (who allegedly assaulted his driver), Mushtaq Mulla, Saddam, Shankar Patil, Sanganagouda Patil, Bharathi among over 100 people.
