BENGALURU: A young woman was tied up inside the bathroom of her house and gagged by three unidentified men who managed to gain entry and decamp with cash and ornaments worth lakhs of rupees, at Lakshminagar Layout on Lakshmi Talkies Road in Anekal in broad day light on Friday afternoon.

The gang of three first inquired about one ‘Hoovina’ Nagesh at the house, and when they were told that no person by that name lives in the house by the young woman, one of them pulled out a knife, threatened her and gained entry. Following this, the other two also entered the house. The gang of three, who had come on a motorcycle wearing masks and carrying a bag, had been hovering around the house for some time before gaining entry.

Within 15 minutes, the robbers came and looted 40 grams of gold ornaments and 1 kg silver. For about a week, I have seen some unidentified doing the rounds on a bike near our house, but I had not paid much attention to it”.

Speaking about the incident, Keerthana said, “The thieves asked for ‘Hoovina Nagesh’ from outside. When I said there was no one by that name, they pretended to leave and, as I was closing the door, they entered the house forcibly, tied my hands, legs, gagged me and threatened me with a knife. They went inside the room and searched the wardrobes and decamped with cash and ornaments. The robbers locked me inside the bathroom”.
