KALABURAGI: The alleged kingpin in the police sub-inspector (PSI) recruitments scam, Divya Hagaragi, was given a grand welcome after she was released from jail on bail, on Friday evening.
Divya’s husband Rajesh and her fans celebrated her release by bursting crackers in front of her house and garlanding her. Some expelled BJP leaders had, in fact, had felicitated her near the jail itself after she walked out.
Divya Hagaragi had been in jail for the last nine months in the PSI recruitment scam case. On January 1, the district sessions court granted bail to 27 accused persons, including Divya, on January 5.
