CHITRADURGA: A government bus driver died on the spot and four others were injured after it collided with a lorry near Kanive in Chitradurga on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Nagaraj Naik (52).
The bus was on its way from Chitradurga to Bengaluru when it rear-ended a lorry that was loaded with fertiliser bags near Kanive. At least four bus passengers were also injured and have been admitted to Chitradurga district hospital.
The Chitradurga Badavane traffic police visited the spot and conducted inspection. Further investigation is under way.
