BENGALURU: The weather department has issued a heavy rain warning in the state for the next three days. As per the forecast, rain with thunder is expected in coastal, north-interior and south-interior Karnataka.
The forecast says there is a possibility of wind blowing at 40-50 kmph in north-interior Karnataka on September 23 with very heavy rain. In south-interior Karnataka, heavy rain can be expected on September 23 and 24. Extremely heavy rain warning has been issued for coastal Karnataka on September 24 with possibility of heavy rain on September 22 and 25.
Rain with thunder in south-interior Karnataka can be expected from September 22 till 24 and there will be a decrease in rainfall in many districts of state from September 26.
The weather department forecast says there is a possibility of rain in many places of south-interior Karnataka including Bengaluru city, Bengaluru Rural. with thunder, lightning and storm. Wind speeds could be at 30-40 km per hour and the weather is expected to be cloudy with chilly nights.
A yellow alert has been declared for south-interior districts including Bengaluru. Cloudy weather will prevail in Bengaluru with heavy rain forecast for September 22.
After Monday evening’s rain, traffic police cleared standing water while managing traffic on K R Market flyover of Mysuru road. The other day police had closed pothole that was not closed for many years. The flyover was waterlogged due to rain. Underpasses are also getting waterlogged.
A car stuck in a huge pothole at Daddys Garden of Electronics City. Soil on the road further collapsed after car was removed. Locals have demanded to repair road as soon as possible.
