BENGALURU: A couple who were stealing luxury cars in Bengaluru and were wanted in five states have been arrested. The accused are notorious thief Satyendra Singh Shekhawat and his girlfriend Pramila Thakur.

The accused targeted luxury cars including Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner. They would install a GPS tracker on that car to track its movement. If the car is parked and left in a place with no one around, Shekhawat would steal the vehicle using duplicate keys.

They stole cars in this same way in about five states across the country but had not been caught anywhere. They had stolen a Fortuner car near Singasandra in Bengaluru and fled. At that time, police tracked the car registration number and chased the accused.

Satyendra dropped off his girlfriend Pramila on the Pune highway and escaped. At that time police arrested Pramila, but the boyfriend went missing. Pramila got bail after one week. After learning this, Parappana Agrahara police followed her continuously for three days.

Finally, police arrested Pramila’s boyfriend Satyendra in Maharashtra. Currently, it has been found that there are a total of 61 cases against both of them.
