BALLARI: A man, who run away with a divorced woman 15 days ago, and had a grand reception just on Thursday, was brutally murdered the same night, in Bhatti area of Ballari city. The deceased youth is Nabi Rasool (25).
Rasool was in love with a divorced woman named Salma. Because of this, both of them had left home 15 days ago. It is said that Salma’s family members were opposed to their relationship. Meanwhile, Rasool’s family members agreed to the marriage and called both of them home and held a reception for them on Thursday.
It is said that Rasool, who was happy after the reception, went out of the house around 11.30 pm saying that his friend had called him. Since he did not return home even by 2 am, the family started searching for him. They found Rasool dead about 700 meters away from the house.
The exact reason for the murder is not known. There is suspicion that loving and marrying a divorced woman was the reason for the youth’s murder. Rasool’s body had stab wounds in several places with weapons. His family members have alleged that Salma’s family members murdered him.
Ballari SP Suman D. Penneker visited the spot, inspected it, and formed a team to track down the accused. A case has been registered at Cowl Bazaar police station.
