BENGALURU: A hotel guest left behind some bullets and a magazine, used by the US Army, while checking out. The hotel staff have handed over the bullets and magazine to the police.
A person named Muthar Armaan was staying at Jayamahal Palace Hotel in JC Nagar. While checking out, he left behind a magazine in his room. During inspection, the lodge staff found the bullets and magazine left behind by Muthar Armaan. The hotel staff informed JC Nagar police.
Police registered a case and arrested the accused Muthar Armaan. During interrogation, it came to light that the accused Muthar Armaan had worked in the US Army. Investigation is under way into how he brought them by evading Customs officials of both countries and for what purpose he brought the bullets and magazine.
Hotel manager Prakash said, “A person named Armaan Muthar had come to the hotel. He introduced himself as an Indian who is a US citizen. He arrived at the hotel on April 27 and checked out the next day. One hour after leaving the room, he called and said, ‘I left behind a gun magazine, please keep it. I will come and collect it after an hour’. But even after two days, he did not return, so we handed it over to the police station”.
