HASSAN: A youth was seriously injured in the head and is now in coma after a fatal assault over a trivial reason while working out at gym. The incident occurred at MJ Fitness Centre in Hassan city.

The victim was identified as Keerthan while the attacker is Varun. While working out, Keerthan’s shoulder touched Varun. Angered by this, Varun shouted at Keerthan. The argument escalated, and Varun punched Keerthan on the head.
Keerthan fell to the ground due to the impact of the assault. He sustained a severe blow to the head and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hassan where he is in coma.
The assault was captured on CCTV cameras at the gym. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Layout police station.
