BALLARI: An Group D employee of a government hospital in Hosapete allegedly lured a minor girl and sexually asssaulted her in the quarters on the same campus. He has since been arrested and handed over to judicial custody.
Police Superintendent S Jahnavi, a minor girl who had come to the 100-bed hospital in Hosapete, Vijayanagara district for her mother’s treatment. The Group D employee, Ajay Madakari (37), lured and sexually assaulted the minor after taking her to his quarters. Since the girl’s mother had been admitted in the hospital for about a month, the accused had known the minor.
The victim complained that he then gave her an intoxicating substance and sexually assaulted her. A case has been registered under the POCSO Act at Hosapete Layout police station. The accused was arrested after a case was registered and remanded to judicial custody.
